I have always struggled with my weight throughout my life, up and down, but I was surely at my heaviest when I started Bar Method about three years ago.

It looked a bit intimidating to me at first but once in the company of the encouraging teachers and friendly atmosphere I started to get the hang of it.

It has been the only form of exercise that I fully enjoy doing and that I have seen such fast results, I remember mid class (while we were doing super intense thigh work) thinking to myself, ” I LOVE this workout!” and I can’t say that about a lot of other classes I have taken at the gym.

The teachers are great and always there to push me with encouraging words or different options to exercises if I couldn’t do them.


My arms started to get toned, my thighs started to slim down, I could actually lift my leg onto the bar and as of now I can proudly say I can do the splits.

I can say that as you get stronger the class never gets easier it’s always a challenge, either getting your leg straighter, higher, closer, it’s always an intense work out which is one reason I keep coming back.


I’m happy to say that with Bar Method I have lost about 50 pounds since starting three years ago and have seen large amounts of other familiar faces around the studio transform as well.

It has improved my overall core strength, posture, leg and arm strength and most importantly my confidence.
